Solar structures, answered
01 What is a solar mounting structure?
A solar mounting structure is the engineered steel framework that holds PV modules at the correct angle and height, transferring wind, seismic and dead loads safely into the foundation. ENSOL fabricates these for rooftop, ground-mount, pump, canal-top and tracker applications.
02 Which structure is best for rooftop projects?
For RCC or metal rooftops, our rooftop mounting systems are optimised for fast installation, rated for wind up to 215 km/h with 10° / 15° / 20° tilt options.
03 What wind speed can the structures withstand?
Rooftop structures are designed for wind speeds up to 215 km/h; pump and water-tank staging structures up to 150 km/h. Every design includes site-specific wind-load analysis per IS 875.
04 What coating options are available?
GP (galvanised plain), GL (Galvalume / Al-Zn), ZAM (zinc-aluminium-magnesium) and HDGI (hot-dip galvanised, post-fabrication), with service life up to 25 years depending on coating and environment.
05 Do you provide custom designs?
Yes. Every member is sized to your project drawings, loads and site conditions, with structural optimisation and independent proof-checking (for example, NIT Raipur for PM-KUSUM MMS).
06 What industries use these structures?
Utilities and DISCOMs, solar EPC contractors, agriculture (PM-KUSUM), government and water-infrastructure projects (JJM), commercial & industrial rooftops, and utility-scale solar parks.
